Transportation Manager

Key Responsibilities:

1. Warehouse Operations

Supervise daily receiving, loading, and offloading of goods.

Conduct regular stock counts (daily/weekly/monthly) and ensure 99%+ accuracy.

Maintain clean and organized warehouse (5S) and ensure FIFO (First-In, First-Out) practices.

Update inventory records in Excel or ERP system accurately.

2. Customs & Clearing

Coordinate with clearing agents for timely clearance of sea (Dar es Salaam/Durban) and air cargo (Lusaka Airport).

Verify shipping documents (Invoices, Packing Lists, Bills of Lading, Certificates of Origin).

Liaise with ZRA officials during inspections to resolve any clearance issues promptly.

Monitor demurrage and storage charges to minimize costs.

3. Transport & Delivery

Plan daily delivery routes and supervise drivers/third-party transporters.

Ensure on-time delivery to customers and proper handling of Proof of Delivery (POD).

Manage vehicle maintenance schedules and road tax renewals.

Handle customer complaints regarding damaged or delayed deliveries.

Requirements:

Diploma/Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

Minimum 3 years of logistics experience in Zambia.

Mandatory:​ Strong knowledge of ZRA procedures, COMESA rules, and local customs processes.

Proficient in English (written & spoken); knowledge of local languages is an advantage.

Computer literate (MS Excel & Email).

Valid Driver’s License.
