Main Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the implementation of the compliance programme for the Reporting Persons of the group;
  • Assist in the supervision and monitoring of the risk management function;
  • Assist in the conduct and supervision of risk assessments, risk reviews and risk monitoring;
  • Assist in drafting, review and assessment of policies, procedures and controls;
  • Assist in drafting of memos on the implications of relevant laws, regulations, Guidelines etc.. under   Mauritian Law;
  • Assist the Lead in making recommendations, provide and implement solution-oriented advice;
  • Assist in the creation of an awareness culture and monitor new and emerging risks continuously.

Profile & Skills:

  • Proactive and autonomous;
  • Excellent organizational skills to plan, prioritise and meet deadlines;
  • Strong communication skills, both written & verbal;
  • Dynamic, good interpersonal skills and attentive to details;
  • Team player.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Degree in Law, Law and Finance or CAMS;
  • At least 2 years’ work experience within the legal / risk and compliance practice area;
  • Have practical hands-on experience dealing with reporting persons under FIAMLA;
  • Good IT skills.
