Our client is seeking to recruit a
Maintenance Technician who will report to the Managing Director.
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine building maintenance
duties, including mechanical repairs, hand sealing, painting, minor electrical
repairs, plumbing, carpentry and heating and ventilation systems maintenance.
- Complete administratiive duties, such as
filling out forms and reporting maintenance statuses to supervisor.
- Comply with all food safety quality and
health and safety regulations.
- Maintain continuous water supply, including
taps and toilets.
- Oversee the maintenance of lockers, trolley
bins, curtains, windows, doors and stools.
- Ensure proper functioning of fly-killing
devices and emergeny lights.
- Conduct verification, upkeep and repair of
all site equipment and buildings.
- Liaise with suppliers for repairs and
maintenance needs.
- Carry out general repairs as required.
- Design a Preventive Maintenance Programme
and ensure compliance to the programme.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance
activities.
- Keep tools and spare parts secure and
conduct regular inventory checks.
- Coordinate with the Procurement Officer for
purchase orders and ensure optimal stock level.
- Ensure contractors complete required
documentation, including work permits and visitor questionnaires.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Profile:
- Knowledge of maintenance and repair work in
mechanical systems and electrical fields, plumbing and carpentry (including
relevant equipment and tools) is a plus.
- 5+ years of experience.
- Ability to use hand tools and power tools
safely and efficiently.
- Strong attention to detail and problem
solving skills.
- Good organisational and record keeping
abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part
of a team.
- Physical fitness and ability to carry out
manual tasks.
- Basic knowledge of workplace health and
safety procedures.
- May be required to work outside of normal
work hours.
