JOB SUMMARY
The
Junior ESG Analyst supports the Group Sustainability team in the collection,
validation, analysis and reporting of ESG performance data across the Group and
its Business Units (BUs). The role ensures the quality, consistency and
reliability of sustainability information, supporting performance monitoring,
decision-making and compliance with evolving reporting and disclosure
requirements, including GRI and IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards.

1. ESG
Data Management & Performance Monitoring
·
Collect,
consolidate and validate ESG data across the Group and its Business Units
(BUs), ensuring accuracy and completeness.
·
Maintain
baseline datasets, performance indicators and monitoring frameworks for
material sustainability topics.
·
Perform
data quality checks and resolve data gaps and inconsistencies with Business
Units.
·
Monitor
and analyse ESG KPIs (e.g. emissions, energy, water, waste, biodiversity)
against targets.
·
Identify
trends, risks and improvement opportunities to support data-driven
decision-making.
2. ESG
Reporting, Disclosure & Reporting Readiness
·
Prepare
ESG reports, dashboards and presentations for internal and external reporting.
·
Support
sustainability disclosures and governance reporting requirements.
·
Ensure
alignment with applicable reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI, IFRS Sustainability
Disclosure Standards).
·
Contribute
to reporting gap assessments and improvements to strengthen reporting
readiness.
·
Support
documentation, validation and audit requirements for sustainability reporting
and assurance.
3. ESG Data Systems & Process Improvement
·
Support
the administration and enhancement of ESG data systems, dashboards and
reporting tools.
·
Improve
data collection processes, reporting efficiency and automation.
·
Implement
data quality controls, validation processes and reporting workflows.
·
Support
testing, validation and continuous improvement of ESG reporting systems and
tools.
·
Guide
and support Business Units on data collection and reporting requirements.
4. Sustainability Assessments & Cross-Functional
Support
·
Support
sustainability assessments, baseline studies and gap analyses across material
ESG topics.
·
Liaise
with Business Units and stakeholders to collect and validate required
information.
·
Consolidate
and analyse findings to support reporting and improvement actions.
·
Provide
analytical and project support to the Sustainability team as required.
4. OTHERS
Any other cognate duties as may be
necessary in the circumstances and/or required by the employer.
CANDIDATE’S PROFILE
Qualifications Required:
·
Bachelor's degree
in Environmental Science, Sustainability, Data Analytics, Finance, Engineering,
Economics, Business or a related discipline.
·
Familiarity with
ESG reporting frameworks (e.g. GRI, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards,
TCFD, TNFD, GHG, CDP or equivalent) would be an advantage.
·
1–3 years of
experience in sustainability, ESG, environmental management, reporting, data
analysis, finance, auditing or a related field.
Key competences (Knowledge, Skills,
Attitudes, Behaviours):
·
Strong
analytical, numerical and data management skills, with close attention to
detail and the ability to work accurately with large datasets.
·
Proficiency in
Microsoft Excel and the ability to collect, consolidate, validate and analyse
information from multiple sources.
·
Good
communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively
with stakeholders across Business Units to support data collection and
validation processes.
·
Ability to
identify trends, inconsistencies and opportunities for improvement through data
analysis, and present findings clearly to different audiences.
·
Familiarity with
data visualisation tools, ESG software platforms, Power BI or similar reporting
tools would be an advantage.
·
Basic
understanding of sustainability and ESG topics, including climate, energy,
water, waste, biodiversity and sustainability reporting, would be an advantage.
