Job Purpose:
To safely and efficiently operate a forklift to move, load, unload, and store goods within the warehouse or distribution environment. The Forklift Driver will ensure accurate handling of stock, compliance with safety standards, and support smooth warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to move, load, and offload goods
- Load and unload trucks according to operational requirements
- Transport materials and stock to designated storage areas
- Perform stacking, picking, and replenishment activities
- Ensure correct handling of products to prevent damage
- Conduct daily forklift inspections and report any defects or maintenance requirements
- Follow all health and safety procedures and company policies
- Maintain accurate stock movement and assist with inventory control
- Ensure housekeeping standards are maintained within the warehouse
- Assist with general warehouse duties when required
Minimum Requirements:
Grade 12 / Matric qualification
Valid Forklift Licence / Certificate
Minimum 4 – 6 years’ experience as a Forklift Driver within the logistics, warehousing, or distribution industry
