Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the Electrical Engineering Department, providing technical guidance and supervision to engineering teams.
• Oversee the design, installation, testing, commissioning, and maintenance of electrical systems for construction projects.
• Review and approve electrical designs, technical specifications, material schedules, and project documentation.
• Plan, coordinate, and monitor electrical engineering activities to ensure timely and quality project delivery.
• Manage project budgets, resource allocation, procurement, and contractor performance.
• Ensure compliance with electrical engineering standards, health and safety regulations, and quality management systems.
• Support tender preparation, project costing, estimating, and contract administration.
• Identify and mitigate technical risks while implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
• Liaise with clients, consultants, contractors, suppliers, and regulatory authorities on electrical engineering matters.
• Prepare technical and project performance reports for management.
Core Technical Knowledge
• Electrical power distribution and power supply systems.

• Electrical testing, commissioning, and maintenance.
• AutoCAD and other electrical engineering software.
• Project management, budgeting, and contract administration.
• Occupational health and safety requirements and quality management systems.
Qualifications and Experience
• Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• Registered Professional Engineer with the Engineers Board of Kenya (EBK).
• Valid Annual Practising Licence where applicable.
• Minimum of 7 years' relevant experience in electrical engineering within the construction industry, with at least 5 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
