Category Coordinator

Key Responsibilities:

• Listing of all products on Meti with the correct.

• Listing and delisting of products as per demands.

• Proposal of new products as per market trends.

• Analyse suppliers proposed prices through the price list available on METI.         

• Work out the promotional prices, whilst ensuring turnover and profit objectives are met.

• Follow up on stock.

• Communicate all products price changes to master data team.

• Gather and analyse competitive products from the price anomaly cluster.

• Liaise with the Marketing Department for the final list to put on Brochure.

• Define and execute merchandising plans and planograms in close collaboration with the HO Chefs.

• Provide feedback in an accurate and timely manner.

• Communicate regularly with supermarket management team on issues related to the category.

Job Requirements:

•  Minimum Higher School Certificate or any other relevant qualifications.
• Conversant with Microsoft Office Package.
•  2 years of progressive working experience in a similar position.

• Good understanding of the local FMCG sector or Retail business can be an advantage

•  Positive proactive team player with a dynamic Personality

• Strong interpersonal and negotiation skills

•  Effective communication, organizational and time management skills

•   Detail and results oriented

•   Ability to work under pressure

•    Available to work on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays, as well as odd hours
