Accountant

Manage full-cycle accounting for manufacturing plant, with focus on cost accounting, inventory, tax compliance, and financial reporting.

Key Responsibilities

· Process daily transactions, reconciliations, and maintain general ledger.

· Prepare monthly financial statements and management reports.

· Handle production cost allocation (raw materials, WIP, finished goods) and monitor inventory variances.

· Conduct regular stocktakes and fixed asset management.

· File VAT, PAYE, and all statutory returns in compliance with ZRA regulations.

· Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control analysis.

· Coordinate internal/external audits.

Requirements

· Bachelor’s degree in Accounting/Finance; ACCA, CIMA, CPA, or CA Zambia required.

· ZICA full membership and ZAQA-recognised credentials.

· 3–5+ years of accounting experience, essential in manufacturing/production environment.

· Strong cost accounting and inventory control background.

· Proficient in ERP systems (SAP/Sage/Dynamics) and advanced Excel.

· Solid knowledge of Zambian tax and reporting standards.

· Excellent English communication and ability to meet deadlines.

Preferred

FMCG industry experience.
