DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
1. To assist the Workshop Manager in the efficient running of the workshop.
2. To plan, organize and control the work of the employees under his responsibility.
3. Manage the transition from diesel to electric buses, including the implementation of new technologies and training for staff.
4. Develop and enforce maintenance schedules for both diesel and electric buses to minimize downtime and extend vehicle life.
5.Conduct thorough inspections and diagnosing issues with buses, vans, and coaches. This includes mechanical, electrical, and body repairs along with preparation of estimates of repairs for accidented vehicles.
6.To liaise with workshop supervisors including early shift mechanics for pre-trip inspection team so that maximum number of buses are put on road during peak hours with Zero lateness.
7. Diagnose complex issues and provide technical guidance for repairs, often involving advanced electrical systems in electric buses.
8. Monitor energy consumption and manage charging infrastructure for electric buses, optimizing for efficiency and cost-effectiveness.





PROFILE
1. At least a bachelor’s degree in mechanical /electrical engineering.
2.Registration as Engineer.
3. Experience with both diesel and electric vehicles, including knowledge of their respective maintenance requirements and systems.
4.Strong leadership and communication skills to effectively manage a diverse team and liaise with other departments.
5. Problem-solving abilities to address unexpected challenges and develop innovative solutions.
6. Familiarity with environmental regulations and a commitment to promoting sustainable practices.
