Job Summary:

• The training and development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct training and development programs for employees

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Identify training and development needs through surveys, interviews focus groups and communication with managers and instructors/trainers
• Identify training needs by evaluating strengths and weaknesses of employee and recommend learning solutions.
• Develop unique training programs to fulfill workers specific needs to maintain or improve job skills 
• Create and/or acquire training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials
• Present/ Communicate training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussion, lecture, simulations and videos
• Maintain records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements.
• Develop or oversee the production of classroom handouts, instructional materials, aids and manuals.
• Collaborate with a trainer to assess, update, and revise training materials.
• Direct structured learning experiences and evaluate the program effectiveness through assessments, surveys and feedbacks.
• Acclimate new hires (employees) to the company and conduct orientation sessions.
• Facilitate virtual classroom sessions
• Evaluate learner progress through academic assessments, hands on practice, and on-the-job training.
• Maintain knowledge of the latest trends in training and development
• Prepare and implement training budget: maintains records and reports of expenses
• Perform other related duties as required.
