Silviculture Manager(Forestry), Ugie Eastern Cape, Rneg + Ben

• Sc./B-Tech in Forestry Management a pre-requisite, Business or Management related qualification will be an advantage.
• At least 15 years· experience in silvicultural activities, in an FSC certified environment,
• 5 years of which must be at a managerial level
• (Silviculture). Knowledge and experience of mechanization in forestry to be demonstrated.
• Extensive experience in
• Valid driver's
• Proficiency in Microforest,
• GIS,
• Excel, Word, PowerPoint and Outlook.
• Knowledge of FSC & SHEQ principles and procedures.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to enforce and maintain high standards.

DUTIES :

• Managing landholdings of 76, 000 Ha (33 700 Ha is planted) on a sustainable basis
• Managing a large commercial heard of livestock to productivity
• Budgeting and cost control
• Planning and organizing work to maximize efficiency and productivity
• Effective and efficient management of people and service providers
• Instilling environmental and conservation legislation compliance
• Cost effective establishment, tending and fire protection
• Maintaining database integrity
• Safety/risk/ FSC compliance
• TUP management
• Active participation in provincial and local FPA structures
