Installation, Commissioning and Maintenance of Electronic Security Equipment.
Regular communication and development of a good relationship with client.
Attention to detail on all aspects of relevant.
Adhering to the Agreement between the client and the company.
Adhering to Health and Safety Regulations.
Feedback to Operations Manager.
Problem Solving /Project Management.
Management and control of documentation, including Registers, Overtime and Route Sheets.
Submission of fault reports on the system.
Available to be on standby when required.

Preferred qualifications/attributes/skills:

Grade 12 or equivalent qualification
National Diploma/ Trade Test in: Electrical Engineering/ Electronics (preferred)
Advanced certifications in security systems (advantage)
Certified fibre optic technician (splicing & OTDR)
Electrical fence installer certification (registered where required)
Access control system certifications (e.g. Impro, Hikvision, Gallagher, etc)
Network certifications (e.g. Cisco CCNA or equivalent
Working heights & safety compliance
5+ years relevant industry experience
Proven experience in Fibre splicing, testing, fault finding
Electric fence installations & compliance
Access control systems (biometric, card, integration)
Boom gates and turnstile repairs & installations
CCTV systems (IP- based)
Project site leadership
Technical skills
Advanced networking (VLANs, IP routing, Network troubleshooting)
Systems integration (Linking access control, CCTV, alarms)
PSIRA registered
GALAGHER certified
Must be AVIGILON certified
Lead installations and maintenance teams
Diagnose and resolve complex faults
Commission and configure systems
Client interaction and reporting
Ensure compliance with standards and safety regulations
Train and mentor junior technicians
Fibre Optics
Cable prep, spicing, testing (OTDR for seniors)
Electric fencing
Installation to compliance standards
Faulting finding and energizer setup
Access control
Door controllers, biometrics, integrations
Perimeter control
Boom gates & turnstiles (mechanical + electrical repairs)
Networking
IP- based system setup (CCTV, access control)
