A reputable engineering firm is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Draughtsperson to join their Cape Town office. The successful candidate will take a lead role in producing and coordinating structural detailing deliverables across a range of building and infrastructure projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the production of detailed structural drawings for steel and reinforced concrete structures
- Interpret engineering designs and develop accurate, constructible drawings
- Coordinate with engineers and project teams to ensure design intent is met
- Review and check draughting work for accuracy, compliance, and quality standards
- Manage drawing revisions, mark-ups, and document control processes
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior draughtspersons
- Ensure adherence to project deadlines and industry standards
Minimum Requirements- Diploma or Certificate in Draughting, Civil Engineering, or related field
- Extensive experience as a Structural Draughtsperson (senior level preferred)
- Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit advantageous)
- Strong knowledge of structural steel and reinforced concrete detailing
- Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
- Proven experience in coordinating draughting deliverables on projects
