Senior Accountant (Part-Time Contract)

Requirements:

• B.Com Accounting or CIMA.
• 5+ years’ accounting experience in pref. FMCG manufacturing, agriculture, wine production, or similar environments.
• Strong cost accounting and stock management experience.
• Hospitality or tourism industry exposure a definite advantage.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central beneficial.
• Understanding of excise regulations and liquor industry compliance.
• Advanced Excel skills.

• Manage wine production costing from grape harvest through to finished product.
• Oversee complex stock control across vineyards, bulk wine storage, finished goods, and F&B operations.
• Monitor and analyse agricultural costs, including vineyard operations, harvest activities, and seasonal labour.
• Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and profitability reporting.
• Develop budgets and forecasts aligned with harvest cycles, tourism seasons, and vintage planning.
• Manage cash flow in a highly seasonal operating environment.
• Oversee revenue reporting across wine sales, hospitality operations, events, and food & beverage activities.
• Ensure compliance with excise duties, liquor licensing regulations, agricultural legislation, and audit requirements.
• Manage banking, debtor, and creditor functions.
• Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
• Maintain strong financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
