Requirements:
- B.Com Accounting or CIMA.
- 5+ years’ accounting experience in pref. FMCG manufacturing, agriculture, wine production, or similar environments.
- Strong cost accounting and stock management experience.
- Hospitality or tourism industry exposure a definite advantage.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Business Central beneficial.
- Understanding of excise regulations and liquor industry compliance.
- Advanced Excel skills.
Key Responsibilities:Reporting to the Group Financial Controller, you will:
- Manage wine production costing from grape harvest through to finished product.
- Oversee complex stock control across vineyards, bulk wine storage, finished goods, and F&B operations.
- Monitor and analyse agricultural costs, including vineyard operations, harvest activities, and seasonal labour.
- Prepare accurate monthly management accounts and profitability reporting.
- Develop budgets and forecasts aligned with harvest cycles, tourism seasons, and vintage planning.
- Manage cash flow in a highly seasonal operating environment.
- Oversee revenue reporting across wine sales, hospitality operations, events, and food & beverage activities.
- Ensure compliance with excise duties, liquor licensing regulations, agricultural legislation, and audit requirements.
- Manage banking, debtor, and creditor functions.
- Coordinate annual audits and liaise with external auditors.
- Maintain strong financial controls and ensure regulatory compliance.
