Sales Engineer - Industrial Process Automation

Job & Company Description:
This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established organisation specialising in advanced process control, instrumentation, and digital solutions. The role is based in Pretoria and offers exposure to a comprehensive portfolio spanning products, services, and innovative digital platforms.
In this client-facing role, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities, supporting existing customers, and delivering solution-driven sales aligned to client operational needs. You will be expected to translate technical capability into commercial value, leveraging a full-spectrum offering across instrumentation, systems, and digital technologies.

Education:

• Diploma in Engineering or Electrical Trade (Process Control Instrumentation)

Job Experience & Skills Required:
Proven experience in a Sales Engineer or similar technical sales role within the process control or automation environment
Strong, working knowledge of the following is essential:

• Level, Flow, Pressure, and Temperature instrumentation
• Analytical measurement products
• Process control systems and related technologies

Critical to success in this role is a solid understanding of:

• A broad product portfolio within industrial instrumentation and control systems
• Associated services offerings, including maintenance, support, and lifecycle solutions
• Digital business platforms and industrial digitalisation solutions

Ability to confidently position and sell integrated solutions combining products, systems, services, and digital platforms
Demonstrated capability in:

• New business development and account management
• Consultative, solution-based selling
• Delivering technical presentations and proposals to clients

Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills
Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
