DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Conduct physical condition inspections as per schedule to ensure optimal safety performance management
- Control and manage the safety and hygiene of the workplace at the project
- Ensure that the physical visibility of workers is according to the requirements and standards of the respective project/ operating unit at which the project is performed
- Conduct actual investigations (only damages, MTCs, FACs, near misses and non-conformances) f inalising report and getting signoff and copies of associated docs
- Co-ordinate the Emergency drills and conduct Internal audit in respective areas
ACADEMIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- National Senior Certificate
- SAMTRAC or COMSOC 1 & 2
- National Diploma in Safety Management
- Certificate of training in OHSAS 18001 System Auditing or integrated internal auditing would be advantageous
- Legal liability and A2
EXPERIENCE AND REQUIREMENTS:
- At least 2 TO 5 years' experience as a Safety Officer in the mining environment
- Must possess a valid driver's license (Code 8)
