Havana Bar & Restaurant is expanding and is looking for passionate, hardworking, and customer-focused individuals to join our growing team.

Responsibilities or duties

Restaurant Managers oversee the daily operations of the restaurant, ensuring excellent service, profitability, and a positive work environment.

Operations Management: Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations, including front-of-house and back-of-house, to ensure smooth and efficient service.

Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and schedule all restaurant staff (waitstaff, bartenders, cooks, cashiers, cleaners). Conduct performance evaluations and address disciplinary issues.

Guest Experience: Ensure high levels of guest satisfaction by maintaining service standards, handling complaints, and resolving issues promptly and professionally.

Financial Management: Manage budgets, monitor revenue and expenses, control costs (food, labor, supplies), and maximize profitability. Prepare financial reports for ownership.

Inventory Control: Oversee stock management for food, beverages, and supplies, minimizing waste and ensuring adequate stock levels.

Health & Safety Compliance: Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and licensing regulations. Maintain hygiene standards and oversee food safety protocols (HACCP).

Menu Planning: Collaborate with the Head Chef on menu development, pricing, and special promotions.

Marketing & Promotions: Develop and implement marketing strategies to attract and retain customers.

Reporting: Prepare and submit operational, financial, and incident reports to senior management.

Qualifications or requirements (e.g., education, skills)

Minimum Requirements

Grade 12 Certificate. (CERTIFIED COPY)

NRC (CERTIFIED COPY)

Relevant qualifications or experience for the position applied for.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
