Research Technician – Maize
About the Role
Zambia Seed Company Limited (ZAMSEED) is inviting applications from suitably qualified candidates for the position of Research Technician – Maize.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in maize breeding and variety evaluation programs
- Manage breeding nurseries and field trials
- Collect, capture, and maintain research data
- Maintain seed stocks and inventory
- Supervise field labour and support farm operations
Requirements
- BSc or MSc in Crop Science, Plant Breeding, or related field
- Experience in maize breeding, trial management, and data analysis
- Proficiency in MS Office, statistical software, breeding software, and database systems
- Valid Driver’s Licence
- Strong organizational and communication skills
