About Fountain Gate Crafts & Trades School and the Apprenticeship Program We are a leading Zambian training hub dedicated to building skills and shaping the future in construction, engineering, renewable energy, and professional trades.

In partnership with Liebherr Zambia Limited, part of the global Liebherr Mining Division, we are launching a four-year Technical Excellence Programme focused on advanced mining equipment maintenance and remanufacturing.

This program offers trainees hands-on experience with cutting-edge technologies and industry standards. Position Overview for Instructor Advanced Component Remanufacturing Jobs in Chongwe Reporting to the Head of School, the instructor will deliver both theoretical and practical training on inspection, diagnostics, remanufacturing, and OEM rebuild standards.

The role involves guiding apprentices through comprehensive learning modules, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards, and fostering continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Develop detailed lesson plans and training materials focused on component remanufacturing and related technical processes.

Conduct classroom and workshop training on teardown, inspection, cleaning, machining, non-destructive testing (NDT), metrology, assembly, testing, and quality assurance. Facilitate understanding of technical drawings, precision measurement, failure and root cause analysis, and OEM rebuild standards.

Perform assessments, maintain compliance documentation, and support laboratory and simulator development. Train apprentices in inspection methods including visual inspection, dimensional verification, wear analysis, and failure identification.

Demonstrate machining, restoration, and repair techniques to meet OEM specifications. Supervise troubleshooting of electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems.

Promote strict adherence to OEM remanufacturing standards, quality systems, and continuous improvement initiatives. Coordinate with workplace mentors to enhance on-the-job learning and validate apprentice progress through logbook reviews and meetings.

Design and implement formative and summative assessments, participate in moderation, audits, and accreditation processes. Coach and mentor apprentices, supervise practical training, and evaluate technical competence against established standards.

Work Environment Location:

Chongwe District, Lusaka Province Work Hours:

Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:00 Training workshops, laboratories, and occasional industrial partner facilities Exposure to heavy equipment and outdoor field work Requires standing and supervising trainees for extended periods Qualifications and Experience Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Mechatronics, or Industrial Engineering Diploma in Teaching Methodology Minimum six years of experience in heavy equipment maintenance At least one year of instructional or training experience Registered member of the Engineering Institution of Zambia (EIZ) Skills and Competencies Strong knowledge of heavy-duty equipment systems Excellent instructional and facilitation skills Proven coaching and mentorship abilities Competency in assessment and evaluation of technical skills Proficient in Office 365 applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) Experience with virtual training platforms such as Teams and Zoom Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS) Preferred Certifications TEVETA Instructor Accreditation NDT Level II Certification Vibration Analysis (Category I or II) OEM Component Rebuild Certification What We Offer Competitive remuneration package International professional development opportunities at Liebherr factories worldwide Exposure to large-scale industrial operations Supportive and collaborative learning environment How to Apply Interested candidates are invited to submit their applications via the official application form available at:
