JOB PURPOSE / STRATEGIC OBJECTIVE
- The R&D professional is responsible for developing, testing, and improving construction materials to enhance performance, durability, sustainability, cost-efficiency, and compliance with industry standards.
- They bridge science, engineering, and manufacturing to create innovative products that meet market demands and regulatory requirements.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & DELIVERABLES
- Strong knowledge of construction material formulation, laboratory testing methods, and product development processes in construction chemical systems, including concrete admixtures, repair mortars, and waterproofing solutions, adhesive ...
- Solid understanding of R&D laboratory practices, including:
- Product formulation and modification
- Performance testing
- Raw material evaluation and compatibility testing
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills to:
- Prepare R&D reports, technical documentation, and test results
- Clearly communicate findings, product performance, and development progress to management and cross-functional teams
- Collaborate effectively with quality control, sales, and technical support teams
- Ability to professionally present:
- New product development results
- Product improvement proposals
- Technical problem-solving outcomes and innovation ideas
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to:
- Develop and refine product formulations
- Conduct root cause analysis for product performance issues
- Implement corrective and preventive improvements in product design
