Overview

The Civil Service Commission is inviting applications from suitably qualified and unemployed health professionals for the 2026 recruitment of 2,600 Workers in the Ministry of Health.

Applicants are required to submit their applications through ZAMPOST and indicate their preferred district of deployment (except for Intern Medical Doctors and Pharmacists, who should indicate their preferred province).

Radiographers

• Perform general X-ray imaging of the chest, abdomen, and skeletal system.
• Position patients accurately to obtain optimal diagnostic images.
• Apply radiation protection measures (lead aprons, collimation) for patient safety.
• Process and archive digital radiographic images using PACS systems.
• Conduct fluoroscopy procedures for real-time imaging (e.g., barium swallows).
• Provide emergency portable X-ray services for bedridden patients in wards.

Eligibility Requirements

Applicants must:

• Be a Zambian citizen with a valid National Registration Card (NRC).
• Possess a full Grade 12 Certificate or equivalent.
• Hold relevant professional qualifications from a recognized institution.
• Be duly registered and licensed by the relevant professional regulatory body (where applicable).
• Be unemployed in the Civil Service at the time of application.
• Be above 18 years and below 45 years of age.

• Certified copies of academic and professional qualifications.
• Certified copy of the National Registration Card (NRC).

• Any other relevant supporting documents (e.g. a certificate from the Zambia Agency/Association for Persons with Disabilities, where applicable).

The Civil Service Commission and the Ministry of Health do not charge any recruitment fee at any stage of the process. Applicants are only responsible for ZAMPOST postage charges.
