We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team on a two-year contract basis in Solwezi, Northwestern Province, Zambia.

This role offers a chance to contribute to managing construction project costs effectively while ensuring compliance with all contractual and regulatory requirements. About the Quantity Surveyor Role in Solwezi As a Quantity Surveyor at Reeluka Investment Ltd, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the financial and contractual aspects of construction projects from inception to completion.

You will be responsible for cost planning, contract negotiation, and ensuring projects deliver value for money within budget constraints. Key Responsibilities Prepare detailed cost estimates, budgets, and tender documentation to support project planning.

Conduct thorough cost analyses and feasibility studies to inform decision-making. Monitor ongoing project expenditures to ensure adherence to approved budgets.

Evaluate contractor quotations and negotiate terms to secure favorable contracts. Prepare interim valuations and final accounts for construction projects.

Perform site visits and project assessments to verify progress and compliance. Advise management on contractual and commercial matters to mitigate risks.

Ensure all construction activities comply with relevant regulations and standards. Compile progress reports and provide financial updates to stakeholders.

Candidate Requirements Possess a Full Grade 12 Certificate. Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or a related discipline.

Demonstrate a minimum of three years’ proven experience in quantity surveying or construction cost management. Have a strong understanding of construction contracts and procurement processes.

Membership in a relevant professional body is advantageous but not mandatory. Skills and Competencies Exceptional attention to detail and a high level of professionalism.

Excellent organizational and time management abilities. Capability to work efficiently under pressure and meet strict deadlines.

Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively within a team. Positive attitude combined with strong problem-solving skills.
