Quality Engineer

Premix Ltd,  a wholly owned subsidiary of the United Basalt Products Ltd, is looking to recruit a Quality Engineer.

 Key Responsibilities

• Ensure Quality Control on Raw Materials (Cement, Aggregates & Admixtures) 

• Carry out trial mixes for new formulations. 

• Ensure quality of products at production stage

• Analyze test reports and and inform Management of any discrepancy

• Provide solutions in case of troubleshooting at plant and site

• Ensure the smooth running of testing activities at the Laboratory 

• Oversee laboratory equipment maintenance and ensure proper calibration. 

• Respond to client's requirements and specifications within acceptable timeframe

• Provide technical assistance to production and sales department. 

• Attend to complaints, plan repairs, and follow up on associated costing. 

• Ensure compliance with ISO standards and health and safety regulations. 

Candidate profile

• Holder of a Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognised institution

• At least 5 years of relevant experience in a technical role in the construction sector

• Sound knowledge of the Standards for concrete products

• Proficiency in MS office

• Valid driving license (manual)

• Flexible and willing to work odd hours

• Analytical and problem-solving skills

• Organised with teamwork planning skills

• Ability to take initiatives and to react quickly
