Key Responsibilities

Administration

  • Review the local production schedule with the QA Assistant daily to plan inspections and factory visits.
  • Provide daily quality updates to Production Silo Heads, including:
    • Production progress, delays, and delivery concerns.
    • Fabric, construction, and quality-related issues.
    • Compliance updates and non-conformance reports (minimum every two weeks).
  • Maintain accurate quality records and inspection documentation.

Quality Control

  • Build and maintain strong working relationships with CMT (Cut, Make & Trim) factories.
  • Conduct all required AQL inspections:
    • 1st Inline AQL – First 50 garments produced.
    • 2nd Inline AQL – During production or immediately after corrective action where required.
    • Final AQL – Once production reaches at least 80% completion.
  • Submit all AQL reports to the relevant Production Silo Head on the same day.
  • Monitor production progress through daily communication with factories.
  • Escalate delivery risks and production concerns to the Production Team.
  • Report quality concerns to the QA Manager and return garments to the office when required.
  • Conduct daily factory visits to monitor production quality and provide guidance.
  • Identify and report compliance issues observed during factory visits.
  • Ensure bulk production matches approved sealed samples.
  • Verify garment measurements against approved specifications.
  • Ensure all appraisal comments and quality standards are implemented.
  • Assist CMT factories with identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions.
  • Work closely with Production Teams to ensure delivery deadlines and quality standards are consistently achieved.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years' experience as a Quality Controller within the garment, apparel, textile, or clothing manufacturing industry.
  • Solid understanding of AQL inspection procedures.
  • Strong knowledge of garment construction, sewing techniques, measurements, fabrics, and quality standards.
  • Experience working with CMT factories.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and travel daily between factories.
  • Computer literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel and Outlook).
  • Valid driver's licence will be advantageous.

This position is based in Eswatini (Swaziland).
Preference will be given to candidates who are currently based in Eswatini, as relocation assistance is not provided.
