Job Summary
The Project Officer assists in the coordination and administration of projects by supporting project planning, implementation, monitoring, reporting, and stakeholder engagement. The role ensures that project activities are delivered efficiently and in compliance with organizational policies and donor requirements.
Key Responsibilities

  • Support the development and implementation of project work plans and schedules.
  • Coordinate project activities and ensure timely completion of tasks.
  • Monitor project progress against objectives, timelines, and budgets.
  • Collect, compile, and analyze project data and prepare reports.
  • Maintain accurate project documentation and records.
  • Organize meetings, workshops, training sessions, and field visits.
  • Liaise with project stakeholders, partners, government agencies, and beneficiaries.
  • Assist in budget tracking and financial reporting.
  • Identify project risks and report issues that may affect project delivery.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, donor regulations, and project procedures.
  • Support monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning (MEAL) activities where applicable.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Business Administration, Development Studies, Social Sciences, or a related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in project coordination, administration, or management.
  • Experience working with NGOs, government agencies, or development projects is often preferred.
  • Knowledge of project management principles and tools.
