As part of our engineering team, you will be responsible for the structural design, analysis, verification and certification of telecommunication infrastructure, including lattice towers, monopoles, rooftop structures, guyed masts and their associated foundations. You'll collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver safe, compliant and cost-effective engineering solutions while ensuring adherence to South African and international design standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and analyse lattice towers, monopoles, guyed masts, rooftop structures and antenna support systems.
• Perform structural calculations for wind, seismic and equipment loading using applicable design codes.
• Design reinforced concrete and steel foundations for telecommunication structures.
• Review and approve structural drawings, calculations and engineering reports.
• Conduct structural assessments of existing tower infrastructure and recommend strengthening solutions.
• Perform site inspections and provide technical support during construction and installation.
• Prepare structural certification reports and sign off engineering documentation where applicable.
• Ensure compliance with SANS standards, TIA-222, ECSA requirements and company quality procedures.
• Liaise with clients, contractors and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to continuous improvement within the engineering department.

Minimum Requirements

• BEng/BSc in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Registered as a Professional Engineer (Pr Eng) with ECSA.
• Minimum 3 years' structural design experience, with significant exposure to telecommunication infrastructure.
• Proven experience designing communication towers, monopoles, rooftop installations and foundations.
• Strong understanding of structural steel and reinforced concrete design.
• Experience performing structural assessments and producing engineering reports.
• Valid driver's licence and willingness to travel to project sites.
