Reporting to: General Manager
Umoyo seeks a dedicated Production and Quality Control Manager to ensure our products meet the highest quality standards. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in maintaining product integrity, overseeing production processes, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
Key Duties
· Oversee all aspects of the production processes to ensure seamless operations and adherence to production schedules.
· Develop and execute comprehensive production plans that align with business objectives and meet market demands.
· Design and implement new processes and procedures to enhance efficiency, productivity, and product quality.
· Ensure thorough inspection of raw materials, in-process products, and finished goods to maintain high quality standards.
· Accurately document and maintain records of tests, inspections, and certifications to ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
· Prepare and present regular reports on production operations, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
· Supervise and train production staff on quality standards, procedures, and best practices.
· Work closely with the warehouse, logistics team, and other departments to ensure smooth coordination and efficient workflow.
Skills and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
· Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in MFCG
· Experience implementing quality assurance procedures and production planning
· Excellent communication and presentation skills
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
· Attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards
· Quality control is an added advantage
· Certification in quality management systems (ISO 9001, HACCP) will be an added advantage.
