Job Details

The D&A Lead (Siavonga) is responsible for overseeing the quality and uptime of existing D&A production reports, managing the workflow of the D&A Data Clerks in Siavonga, leading ad hoc projects to build data visibility and systems in Production operational teams, and completing in-depth analysis for key insights into business problems.

Data Analysis

  • Analyses key business problems using authoritative, source-of-truth datasets from across the organisation.
  • Evaluates the reliability and quality of operational datasets, identifying and prioritising areas for improvement.
  • Reviews monthly analyses produced by Data & Analytics team members, providing timely, constructive, and supportive feedback.
  • Conducts in-depth statistical analysis using tools such as Excel and SQL.

Project Management

  • Oversees both short- and long-term data and analytics projects from inception through to delivery.
  • Introduces efficient and innovative approaches to problem-solving, whether by adopting new data tools or by using existing ones more effectively.
  • Manages external developer teams to build software solutions that meet the required standards.

Tools and Technical Proficiency

  • Microsoft Power Platform: Excel, Power BI, Power Automate, Power Apps, and SharePoint.
  • Programming and querying: Python and SQL.
  • Confident working with AI tools to improve productivity and insight.

Team Management

  • Leads and develops a team of data and analytics professionals.
  • Inspires and motivates the team to meet deadlines and deliver high-quality work

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, or another related field
  • 3 years’ work experience, some of which relate to database management, data analysis, or analytics
  • Experience conducting employee performance reviews and giving employee feedback.
  • Experience using analytics techniques to contribute to company growth efforts, increasing revenue and other key business outcomes.
  • Familiar with econometric analysis methods
  • Must have skills
  • Expert Progamming skills (SAS, R or SQL) Strong problem solving, quantitative and analytical abilities. Analytical Ability to scope, plan, manage, monitor, and evaluate data science/analytics projects. • Strong knowledge of Excel, Power Point, databases
