Key Responsibilities:
Own and manage production Kubernetes environments, including scaling, upgrades, and lifecycle management
Maintain and optimise CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps
Implement and manage infrastructure as code using Terraform
Define and track system reliability metrics (SLOs/SLIs) and improve uptime
Monitor platform health using observability tools and implement effective alerting strategies
Lead incident response, troubleshooting, and post‑mortem processes
Optimise infrastructure performance, capacity, and cost efficiency
Collaborate with development teams to support deployment and delivery processes
Job Experience and Skills Required:
Education: Relevant degree or diploma in IT, Computer Science, or a related field
Experience:
Minimum 4+ years’ experience in Platform Engineering, DevOps, or SRE roles
Proven experience managing production infrastructure environments
Technical Skills:
Strong Kubernetes experience (production-level)
Terraform and infrastructure as code practices
CI/CD pipeline management (Azure DevOps)
Proficiency in scripting (Python, Go, or Bash)
Strong Linux administration and networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, TLS)
Monitoring and observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, or similar)
Advantageous:
Experience with Azure (AKS, networking, storage, Key Vault)
Rancher and multi‑cluster management
Helm chart creation and management
Experience with autoscaling and service mesh concepts
Exposure to secrets management tools
Additional Requirements:
Experience in incident response and on‑call environments
Strong problem‑solving and analytical mindset
Ability to work independently and take ownership of platform environments
