On-Call Legal Counsel

Responsibilities:

• Draft, review, and negotiate contracts and legal documents.
• Provide expert advice on HR and employment law matters, including employee relations and compliance.
• Guide the company on intellectual property (IP) law, including trademarks, copyrights, and licensing.
• Ensure corporate compliance with applicable laws and regulations.
• Advise management on legal risks and mitigation strategies.
• Support dispute resolution processes and represent the company when necessary.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 3-5 years post-qualification experience working with reputable corporations or law firms.
• Strong expertise in Contract Law, Employment/HR Law, Corporate Governance, and Intellectual Property Law.
• Membership of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) with active license to practice.
• Excellent negotiation, drafting, and analytical skills.
• Strong communication skills and ability to provide practical legal advice.
• Ability to work flexibly and respond quickly to on-call needs.
