The Non-Executive Director will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of Liberty Life Botswana.

The successful candidate should demonstrate high levels of integrity, strategic insight, and professional acumen, together with demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following areas: actuarial science, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

The candidate should also possess a proven ability to contribute meaningfully to Board deliberations, strategic decision-making, and governance oversight.

Requirements

• Candidates should demonstrate strong competence in at least one of the following disciplines: (i) actuarial science, or (ii) enterprise risk management and (iii) regulatory compliance, with a relevant postgraduate qualification preferred.
• Proven leadership experience at executive and/or board level, with demonstrated governance and oversight capability
• Strong knowledge of insurance risk frameworks, solvency and capital management principles, and actuarial methodologies and or;Exposure to actuarial valuation, pricing, capital adequacy, or financial risk modelling is advantageous
• Strong knowledge of enterprise risk management and regulatory compliance frameworks within the insurance industry
• Experience in implementing and overseeing governance frameworks, including board and committee effectiveness
• Sound understanding of fiduciary duties and prudential regulatory requirements for financial institutions
• Minimum of 10 years' experience in financial services or insurance, including at least 5 years in senior or executive roles
• Board or committee experience, with the ability to provide independent challenge and strategic input
