Multiple Positions Available at Sinohydro Zambia Limited Sinohydro Zambia Limited is currently seeking qualified and motivated professionals for multiple roles across its Lusaka and Solwezi-Kipushi Road Project sites in Zambia.

We invite applications from experienced candidates interested in road design engineer jobs in Lusaka and related positions to join our dynamic team on a full-time basis.

Road Design Engineer / Draftsman (Civil 3D Specialist) – Lusaka Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare comprehensive road design drawings and construction plans using Autodesk Civil 3D.
• Develop horizontal and vertical alignments, cross-sections, profiles, and perform earthwork calculations.
• Produce detailed engineering drawings compliant with project specifications and standards.
• Collaborate closely with engineers and project teams to ensure timely delivery of design outputs.
• Revise and update drawings to reflect design changes and site requirements.
• Maintain accurate documentation of design files and project records.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a related discipline.
• At least 3 years of experience in road design and drafting.
• Advanced proficiency with Autodesk Civil 3D and AutoCAD software.
• Strong understanding of road geometry, drainage systems, and earthworks.
• Exceptional attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
• Valid Practice Licence is mandatory.

Surveyor – Solwezi-Kipushi Road Project Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct topographical, engineering, and construction surveys.
• Perform setting out for road construction and other civil engineering works.
• Operate GPS, Total Station, and other modern surveying equipment proficiently.
• Process survey data and prepare accurate reports and drawings.
• Work closely with engineers to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Ensure precision and accuracy in all survey measurements throughout project execution.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in road or civil construction surveying.
• Proficiency in survey data processing software; knowledge of AutoCAD/Civil 3D is advantageous.
• Experience operating GPS, Total Station, and leveling instruments.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.

Chef (Specialized in Chinese Cuisine) – Solwezi-Kipushi Road Project Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and cook a diverse range of authentic Chinese dishes.
• Plan menus and ensure consistent food quality and presentation standards.
• Maintain rigorous food safety, hygiene, and kitchen sanitation practices.
• Monitor inventory, assist with ordering, and manage stock control.
• Ensure proper storage and handling of all food ingredients.
• Supervise and coordinate kitchen staff as required.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient kitchen environment.
• Comply with all company policies and health and safety regulations.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Proven experience as a Chinese cuisine chef in a restaurant, hotel, or catering setting.
• Demonstrated expertise in preparing authentic Chinese dishes.
• Valid Health Certificate (Medical Record) and Food Handler’s Certificate or equivalent.
• Possession of National Registration Card (NRC) or Passport.
• Thorough knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
• Ability to perform efficiently under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
• Relevant culinary qualifications or certifications are an advantage.
