VACANCY ANNOUNCEMENT - MULTIPLE POSITIONS

Ardent Lodge invites applications from suitably qualified, disciplined, and hardworking candidates for the positions below. All positions are based in Kabwe. Applicants must be ready to begin work immediately. Applicants who are not based in Kabwe must be ready and able to relocate to Kabwe immediately upon appointment.

Available Positions

1. Operations Supervisor – 1 Position

Duty station: Kabwe

Monthly salary: ZMW 5,000

The Operations Supervisor will be responsible for the day-to-day supervision of all operations, including but not limited to front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, security, maintenance, transport, stock control, guest service, reporting, and staff performance.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate with a credit or better in English Language.
• Diploma in Business Management, Business Administration, Hotel Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
• Computer literate, with ability to use Microsoft Office applications, email, electronic records, and SharePoint.
• Strong supervision, communication, record-keeping, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to enforce company procedures firmly and fairly.
• Previous experience in lodge, hotel, guesthouse, hospitality, operations, or business supervision will be an added advantage.

2. Chef – 1 Position

Duty station: Kabwe

Monthly salary: ZMW 4,000

The Chef will be responsible for preparing meals according to the approved lodge menu, maintaining food quality, controlling food portions, supporting food costing, reducing wastage, and ensuring that meals are prepared and presented professionally.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate.
• Certificate in Catering, Food Production, Hospitality, or a related field.
• Previous experience working as a chef in a lodge, restaurant, guesthouse, hotel, or similar establishment.
• Ability to prepare breakfast, lunch, supper, and guest orders according to approved recipes and portions.
• Ability to maintain kitchen hygiene, stock control, and proper food storage.
• Honesty, cleanliness, reliability, and ability to work with minimum supervision.

3. Assistant Chef – 1 Position

Duty station: Kabwe

Monthly salary: ZMW 2,500

The Assistant Chef will support food preparation, kitchen cleaning, food service, dishwashing, stock handling, and general kitchen operations under the direction of the Chef.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate with a pass in English Language.
• Some experience in food preparation, kitchen work, restaurant work, or catering will be an added advantage.
• Ability to follow instructions, maintain hygiene, and support proper food handling.
• Must be clean, hardworking, reliable, and willing to learn.
• Applicants with basic catering training will have an added advantage.

4. Receptionists – 2 Positions

Duty station: Kabwe

Monthly salary: ZMW 2,500

Receptionists will be responsible for receiving guests, handling reservations, check-ins and check-outs, issuing receipts, managing guest records, handling payments, coordinating room inspections, and supporting guest service.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Grade 12 Certificate with a pass in English Language.
• Ability to communicate clearly and politely with guests.
• Basic computer literacy will be an added advantage.
• Ability to keep accurate records and handle payments responsibly.
• Must be honest, presentable, reliable, and customer-focused.
• Previous experience in reception, front office, lodge, hotel, guesthouse, or customer service work will be an added advantage.
• Must be able to work shifts, including nights

5. Housekeepers – 2 Positions

Duty station: Kabwe

Monthly salary: ZMW 2,000

Housekeepers will be responsible for cleaning guest rooms, bathrooms, common areas, laundry, linen handling, and ensuring that rooms are clean, fresh, properly arranged, and ready for guests.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Previous experience in housekeeping, lodge cleaning, hotel cleaning, laundry, or general hospitality work will be an added advantage.
• Any form of housekeeping or hospitality training will be an added advantage.
• Must be clean, hardworking, honest, reliable, and able to follow instructions.
• Must pay attention to detail and maintain high standards of cleanliness.

6. Farm Assistant – 1 Position

Duty station: Kabwe

Monthly salary: ZMW 2,000

Accommodation: Free accommodation will be provided.

The Farm Assistant will support poultry, gardening, general farm maintenance, feeding, watering, cleaning, planting, weeding, harvesting, and other farm-related duties as assigned.

Minimum qualifications and requirements:

• Some experience in poultry and gardening is required.
• Ability to care for chickens, maintain cleanliness, support feeding routines, and report any signs of disease or poor performance.
• Ability to support vegetable gardening, watering, weeding, planting, and general farm work.
• Must be hardworking, honest, reliable, and willing to live on or near the farm where required.
• Must be ready to perform practical hands-on work.
