Senior Lecturer – Physiology Job Purpose:

• To deliver knowledge and skills to undergraduate and postgraduate students, preparing them to become competent doctors and medical professionals.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 certificate with at least five credits including English, Mathematics, and Science or equivalent.
• PhD in Physiology, Neuroscience, or related discipline from an accredited university.
• Master’s degree in Physiology, Neuroscience, or related discipline.
• Bachelor’s degree in Physiology, MBChB, or related field.
• All academic qualifications must be validated by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
• Minimum five years teaching or research experience at university or research institute level.
• At least 10 peer-reviewed publications in recognized journals.
• Valid practicing license from a relevant professional regulatory body.

Lecturer – Physiotherapy (3 Positions) Qualifications:

• Full Grade 12 certificate with at least five credits including English and Mathematics or equivalent.
• Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy or related field.
• Master’s degree in Physiotherapy or related field; PhD is an advantage.
• Certificate in Teaching Methodology.
• All qualifications must be validated by ZAQA.
• Minimum three years teaching, research, and clinical practice experience.
• Registration with HPCZ, peer-reviewed publications, and supervisory experience preferred.

Lecturer – Clinical Pharmacy and Pharmacy Practice Qualifications:

• Master’s degree in Clinical Pharmacy, Pharmacy Practice, or related field.
• Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy.
• Full Grade 12 certificate with at least five credits including English and Mathematics or equivalent.
• Certificate or Diploma in Teaching Methodology.
• Valid practicing license and ZAQA validation of qualifications.
• At least three years teaching and research experience.

Software/System Developer Role Overview:

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications that meet university and user requirements using modern development practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analyze user requirements and translate into functional technical specifications.
• Develop and implement software applications using appropriate programming languages and tools.
• Maintain and improve existing systems, including website, KOHA Library, and DSpace.
• Conduct code reviews, write unit tests, and ensure adherence to coding standards.
• Build backend services, APIs, and data pipelines using Python frameworks (Django/Flask/FastAPI).
• Develop server-side applications and real-time features with Node.js, Express, and TypeScript/JavaScript.
• Customize CMS solutions such as WordPress and Canvas LMS.
• Design, prototype, and test web and mobile applications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve software issues promptly.

Required Qualifications and Experience:

• Grade 12 certificate with credits in Mathematics and English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Software Development, Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering, or related field.
• All academic qualifications verified by ZAQA.
• Strong skills in PHP, MySQL/PostgreSQL, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Familiarity with Linux command line environments.
• Proven ability to develop websites from scratch.
• Experience with CMS platforms including WordPress and Canvas LMS (plugin customization is a plus).
• Prior exposure to KOHA, DSpace, or Moodle considered an advantage.
• Minimum 3 to 5 years relevant work experience.
