This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to mineral analysis and quality control within a leading mining operation. About the Mineral Analyst Technician Role The Mineral Analyst Technician will be responsible for performing detailed chemical and mineralogical analyses of ore and rock samples to assess composition, grade, and quality.

The position requires proficient operation of laboratory instruments, meticulous reporting, and adherence to strict safety and quality standards to support the mining process. Key Responsibilities for Mineral Analyst Technician Jobs in Chingola Collect and prepare samples of ore, soil, water, and environmental materials from various mine locations.

Perform chemical analyses to identify mineral content, grades, and potential contaminants. Operate and maintain laboratory equipment including Atomic Absorption Spectrometers (AAS), ICP, XRF, and wet chemistry instruments.

Conduct quality control tests to ensure the accuracy and consistency of analytical results. Record, interpret, and report test findings to metallurgists, geologists, and plant operators.

Monitor chemical processes involved in mineral extraction such as leaching and flotation. Maintain comprehensive records of laboratory procedures, results, and calibration logs.

Follow safety, environmental, and laboratory protocols when handling hazardous materials and samples. Assist in the development and revision of Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for laboratory activities.

Support environmental monitoring by analyzing samples for pollutants and regulatory compliance. Qualifications and Experience Required Grade 12 Certificate.

Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline. At least 3 years of relevant professional experience in mineral analysis or a similar field.
