MECHANIC – 3 POSITIONS

Job Summary:
The Mechanic will be responsible for maintaining, servicing, troubleshooting, and repairing mining vehicles, heavy equipment, plant, and machinery to ensure reliable and safe operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance on mining equipment and vehicles.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and perform repairs efficiently.
• Inspect machinery and identify potential mechanical problems before breakdowns occur.
• Service engines, transmissions, hydraulic systems, brakes, and other mechanical components.
• Maintain accurate records of repairs, inspections, and servicing activities.
• Ensure all work is conducted in accordance with safety procedures and manufacturer specifications.
• Work closely with operators and supervisors to minimize equipment downtime.

Requirements:

• Relevant mechanical qualification or trade certificate.
• Previous experience working with heavy-duty or mining equipment is an advantage.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical repair skills.
• Good understanding of workplace health and safety requirements.
