Improving the Legitimacy, Effectiveness, Efficiency, and Fairness of Health Care Priority Setting in Ethiopia.
Background: The Addis Center for Ethics and Priority Setting (ACEPS), in collaboration with the Bergen Center for Ethics and Priority Setting (BCEPS) at the University of Bergen (UiB), and with support from a NORAD grant, is implementing the project titled “Fair Choices on the Path to UHC 2026–2030.” The project aims to strengthen evidence-informed priority setting (EIPS) and support its sustainable integration into decision-making processes within Ethiopia’s health system.
Job summary:
In addition to project work, the successful candidate will be responsible for delivering courses to students in Health Economics, Health Systems Management, and other Master of Public Health (MPH) programs, as well as mentoring their research activities. Based on requests from the department and the school, the candidate is also expected to support other teaching and learning activities, curriculum review, and similar academic tasks.
Job description:
- Plan and coordinate the recruitment and enrollment of Master’s students in Health Economics as part of the project implementation.
- Provide lectures on Health Economics
- Support their research plan and provide supervision.
- Organize scientific events and sessions.
- Plan and execute their ongoing and final evaluation.
- Prepare regular reports and communicate updates to the Principal Investigator (PI).
