Manager Regulatory Sandbox Position Overview The Manager – Regulatory Sandbox (Grade SEC07) will lead the supervision of participants within the Regulatory Sandbox to evaluate the suitability of innovative financial products and services for capital market deployment.
This role requires a strategic approach to developing supervisory frameworks and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards. Key Responsibilities for Manager – Regulatory Sandbox Develop and manage admission and supervisory frameworks, methodologies, and tools to guide supervisory activities.
Oversee the processing and assessment of applications for admission into the Regulatory Sandbox. Conduct and manage offsite and onsite reviews to verify participant compliance with test plans and regulatory requirements.
Implement performance management systems to monitor, evaluate, and enhance unit and participant performance. Efficiently manage human, financial, and other resources to achieve unit objectives.
Required Skills and Qualifications Supervisory and strong analytical skills with sound judgment and decision-making ability. Knowledge of capital markets and financial technologies.
Excellent interpersonal skills, computer literacy, integrity, confidentiality, and initiative. Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance or an equivalent qualification, verified by the Zambia Qualifications Authority (ZAQA).
At least six (6) years of relevant work experience. Full Grade Twelve (12) School Certificate.
Manager Strategy and Policy Role Description The Manager – Strategy and Policy (Grade SEC07) will oversee the development, implementation, and review of the SEC’s institutional strategies and policies. This role is essential for ensuring evidence-based decision-making aligned with the Commission’s strategic goals.
Primary Duties for Manager – Strategy and Policy Lead the development, implementation, and periodic review of the SEC’s Strategic Plan. Coordinate annual institutional work plans and ensure departmental alignment with strategic priorities.
Develop, review, and coordinate institutional and regulatory policies to support evidence-based governance. Manage monitoring and evaluation frameworks to strengthen performance measurement.
Prepare strategic performance reports, institutional scorecards, and Board reports to support informed decision-making. Manage human, financial, and other resources to meet departmental objectives.
Essential Competencies and Educational Requirements Proven skills in strategic planning, policy analysis, monitoring and evaluation, report writing, and presentation. Strong analytical, interpersonal, and computer skills, coupled with integrity, confidentiality, and initiative.
Bachelor’s degree in Economics, Strategic Management, Public Policy, Business Administration, or an equivalent qualification, verified by ZAQA. At least six (6) years of relevant work experience.
