Key Responsibilities for Logistics Officer Jobs in Lusaka Inbound Logistics & Receiving:
Coordinate with suppliers, transporters, and internal teams to ensure timely deliveries, accurate documentation, efficient offloading, and prompt reporting of any shipment discrepancies such as shortages or damages.

Monitor shipment status, delivery performance, logistics costs, proof-of-delivery closures, and exceptions; prepare regular reports and identify opportunities to enhance service levels, controls, and cost efficiency. Qualifications and Experience Diploma or bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Transport Management, Business Administration, or a related discipline.
3 to 5 years of relevant experience in logistics, distribution, transport coordination, warehouse operations, or supply chain execution. Experience in multi-location, last-mile distribution environments such as consumer durables, solar, FMCG, or telecommunications is advantageous.
Proficient knowledge of inbound logistics, dispatch planning, route coordination, proof-of-delivery management, reverse logistics, and transporter administration. Understanding of stock-movement controls, serialized inventory, and separation of physical custody from transaction processing and approvals.
Strong Microsoft Excel skills; familiarity with ERP, warehouse, inventory, or CRM systems is a plus. Sound commercial judgment with the ability to verify quotations, rates, invoices, and supporting documents.
Excellent organizational, prioritization, problem-solving, and follow-through capabilities with meticulous attention to detail. Clear written and verbal communication skills, tactful stakeholder management, and confidence in escalating risks promptly.
High integrity, ownership, and reliability, able to maintain accuracy under operational pressure. Willingness to work in warehouse and field environments, travel as needed, and support occasional extended-hour receiving or dispatch activities.
