Position Overview:

• Logistics Analyst Jobs in Ndola As a Logistics Analyst, you will be responsible for analysing, optimising, and managing third-party transport operations to enhance performance and cost-effectiveness.
• Your role will involve collecting, analysing, and interpreting logistics and supply chain data to inform strategic business decisions.
• You will develop and maintain dashboards and reports to monitor logistics trends and performance, while supporting demand forecasting and inventory planning to ensure optimal stock availability.
• Your insights will help identify inefficiencies in transportation, warehousing, and inventory management, allowing you to propose practical solutions.
• Collaborating closely with the Head of Logistics, you will work to improve operational efficiency and guarantee timely delivery of goods to and from the plant by third-party transporters.
• Key Responsibilities Analyse and optimise third-party transport operations to reduce costs and improve efficiency.
• Develop and maintain performance dashboards and detailed logistics reports.
• Assist in weekly and monthly demand forecasting and inventory planning.
• Identify operational inefficiencies and recommend actionable improvements.
• Support vendor and carrier coordination, including contract negotiations and relationship management.
• Manage daily, weekly, and monthly performance measurement and reporting at departmental and business unit levels.
• Conduct customer and segment analysis to guide strategic and tactical logistics interventions.
• Develop and implement data strategies incorporating automation and modelling techniques.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and cross-functional projects.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
• Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent qualification in Business, Economics, Statistics, or a related discipline.
• Full Grade 12 School Certificate.
• Minimum of four (4) years of relevant work experience in logistics or supply chain management.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and either MySQL or Power BI.
• Basic understanding of industry trends, challenges, regulations, and legislation related to cement manufacturing.
• Good knowledge of Dangote Cement Plc’s products and service offerings is an advantage.
• Strong organisational and administrative skills, with attention to detail and effective use of technology.
• Excellent communication and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in MS Office applications.
