Kitchen Manager In Bedfordview

A family restaurant in the heart of Bedfordview, serving breakfast, lunch and dinner, is looking for a passionate and experienced Kitchen Manager to add to the team. The hired candidate will be required to: manage back of house staff and existing operations; coordinate the kitchen pass effectively within a high-pressure kitchen (very important); complete and be accountable for kitchen & store administration (capture daily info onto systems, prepare kitchen issue papers daily, manage kitchen staff/team of at least 20 persons, manage cleaning protocol within the kitchen, manage shopping budget & closing procedures); implement adequate ingredient preparation and maintain required ingredient par levels and daily prep sheets; implement stock control (stock balance) in accordance with the existing stock control systems; manage all kitchen operations & protocols (already in place) for daily restaurant trade as well as for functions and events; plan and coordinate staff shift schedules; have experience in managing a kitchen/restaurant; show initiative in the work to be done; have good leadership skills; have lots of energy; effectively handle a high-paced work environment; be accustomed to kitchen operating hours. NB - this is not a chef position, however the successful candidate will work closely alongside the head chef and will play a critical role in the successful running of the kitchen.
