Key Responsibilities
- Shop & Fabrication Drawings
Produce detailed shop drawings from architects’ AutoCAD/Revit designs for the panel cladding system, including panels, subgrids, brackets, louvres, copings, flashings, canopies, and related metalwork. - Material Take-offs & Works Orders
Generate accurate quantity take-offs, material requisitions, and works orders for factory production. - Approvals & Revisions
Submit drawings for approval and manage revision cycles (Rev 1/2/3, etc.) accurately and within deadlines. - Coordination & Accuracy
Align drawings with site measurements and estimating inputs to ensure works orders reflect actual construction, minimizing re-measures and rework. - Standards
Work according to internal detailing standards and system rulebooks and contribute to keeping them up to date. - Modernisation (Developing)
Participate in the implementation of parametric templating and automated take-off processes as the drawing office evolves.
Requirements
- Diploma or degree in drafting, architectural technology, mechanical/structural drafting, or equivalent practical experience.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (Revit or other 3D/BIM experience is a strong advantage).
- Experience in detailing façades, cladding, aluminium/sheet metal, curtain walling, or structural steel — or a strong aptitude and willingness to learn the company’s cladding system.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
- Ability to manage revisions, work under production pressure, meet deadlines, and collaborate in a team environment.
Advantageous
- Familiarity with aluminium extrusion and sheet metal fabrication processes.
- Exposure to material take-offs, estimating data, and works-order systems.
- Interest in Building Information Modelling (BIM), parametric design, and automation, with opportunities for growth as the office modernises.
