Minimum requirement

  • Matric results will be requested

  • Completed BCom Accounting degree

  • Completed SAIPA or SAIPA articles

  • Experience with payroll administration, salary processing, Employment Equity, and workmen's compensation claims will be advantageous

  • Proven experience in debtors, creditors, bank reconciliations, and bank payment processing

  • Experience with payroll and salary administration is essential

  • Fluent in Afrikaans and English

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Pastel and Xero

  • Valid driver's license and own vehicle

  • Ability to work independently

Duties and responsibilities

  • Process and maintain accurate financial records and accounting transactions

  • Prepare and process debtors and creditors transactions

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations

  • Process bank payments and ensure timely and accurate payment of suppliers

  • Assist with payroll and salary administration

  • Prepare and process journals, accruals, and general ledger reconciliations

  • Reconcile balance sheet accounts and investigate discrepancies

  • Assist with month-end and year-end financial closing procedures

  • Prepare VAT schedules and assist with statutory submissions where required

  • Maintain fixed asset registers and process asset-related transactions

  • Assist with budgeting, cash flow monitoring, and financial reporting

  • Prepare supporting documentation for internal and external audits

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and relevant legislation

  • Maintain accurate filing and financial documentation

  • Assist the Financial Manager or Accountant with ad hoc accounting and administrative duties as required

  • Liaise with internal departments, suppliers, and clients regarding financial queries

  • Identify and resolve accounting discrepancies in a timely manner

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of accounting processes and internal controls

Remuneration

R 18 000 Cost to Company

Work hours

Monday - Friday: 08h00 - 17h00 (with 1 hour lunch)
