A unique opportunity to lead HR within a prestigious working wine estate, supporting a diverse workforce across luxury hospitality, vineyard, cellar and farming operations
Key Responsibilities
- Leading the full HR function across the business
- Managing weekly wages, monthly payroll, leave administration and statutory payroll submissions
- Maintaining HR records, employee files, time & attendance systems and HR compliance
- Managing the full recruitment and onboarding process
- Drafting employment contracts, job descriptions and HR documentation
- Advising management on labour legislation, HR policies and best practice
- Managing disciplinary hearings, grievances, poor performance, incapacity processes and CCMA matters
- Ensuring compliance with Employment Equity, Skills Development, UIF, COIDA and all labour legislation
- Driving performance management, remuneration reviews, training and employee development initiatives
- Developing and implementing HR policies, procedures and employee engagement programmes
- Partnering with Heads of Department to support operational objectives, workforce planning and organisational growth
- Leading HR projects that enhance employee experience, compliance and business performance
Criteria- Degree or Diploma in Human Resources, Industrial Psychology or a related field
- Minimum 5 years' Human Resources Management experience within a luxury hospitality environment, preferably a wine estate / wine farm, hotel, lodge or tourism operation
- Proven experience managing the full HR function, including payroll and statutory submissions
- Extensive knowledge of South African labour legislation and HR best practices
- Strong Industrial Relations experience, including disciplinary hearings, incapacity processes, retrenchments and CCMA representation
- Experience using HRIS, payroll and time & attendance systems
- Excellent leadership, communication, organisational and stakeholder management skills
- Professional, confidential and solutions-driven with exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to operate confidently at both strategic and operational levels
