Guide / Duty Manager

A small, intimate safari lodge is seeking a committed DUTY MANAGER / GUIDE to join its team. This is a live-in position suited to an energetic couple who work well together, are hands-on, and thrive in a close-knit working environment. Both positions include meals while on duty, a selection of groceries while off duty, live-in accommodation, and participation in a compulsory provident fund. Guide Requirements: Valid PDP and driver’s licence Valid First Aid Level 1 (minimum) DEAT registered FGASA Level 1 (minimum) Minimum of 2 years guiding experience Willingness to assist with general lodge maintenance (maintenance experience essential) Assistant Manager Requirements: Valid driver’s licence Valid First Aid Level 1 (preferred) Minimum of 1 year’s experience in a similar role Core Criteria: Ability to work well within a small team and in close living quarters Friendly; positive, and professional demeanour Energetic; hands-on, and eager to learn Confident and respectful in managing staff Strong ability to separate professional responsibilities from personal relationships Willingness to take initiative and “dive in” where needed Salary: Guide from R9,500 NEG DOE, Duty Manager R11,000 NEG DOE This is a live-in position.
