Contract Duration: 12 Months, Renewable
No of person required for the position: 4 (1 for Addis Ababa,3 from Jimma)
Reports To: Project Manager
Functional Coordination: Program Manager and Country Representative
Job Purpose
The Field Agent will support the implementation, monitoring, and coordination of project activities at community and district levels. The position plays a key role in mobilizing beneficiaries, collecting field data, facilitating trainings and meetings, monitoring project progress, and maintaining strong relationships with local authorities, tourism stakeholders, MSMEs, youth groups, and community members.
The Field Agent will ensure timely execution of field-level activities in accordance with project plans, donor requirements, and CEFA procedures while contributing to the achievement of project objectives related to sustainable tourism development, employment creation, and local economic growth.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Field Implementation and Community Mobilization
Support the implementation of project activities at community, district, and woreda levels.
Mobilize beneficiaries and stakeholders to participate in project interventions, trainings, workshops, and events.
Maintain regular communication with local authorities, tourism actors, MSMEs, youth groups, and community representatives.
Facilitate field visits, meetings, awareness campaigns, and community consultations.
Assist in identifying beneficiaries and ensuring transparent selection processes according to project criteria.
Monitoring, Data Collection and Reporting
Collect and verify project data using approved monitoring tools and templates.
Support baseline, midline, end-line assessments, surveys, and beneficiary registration processes.
Monitor project activities and provide regular updates on implementation progress.
Prepare field activity reports, beneficiary records, attendance sheets, and supporting documentation.
Ensure proper filing and submission of project records and evidence.
Stakeholder Coordination
Maintain effective working relationships with local government offices and community leaders.
Support coordination between project beneficiaries, local institutions, and project partners.
Facilitate communication between the project team and target communities.
Assist in organizing coordination meetings and stakeholder engagement activities.
Administrative and Logistics Support
Support logistical arrangements for trainings, workshops, meetings, and field visits.
Assist in procurement-related processes at field level as required.
Ensure proper use and management of project materials distributed to beneficiaries.
Report operational challenges and risks to the Project Manager in a timely manner.
Project Visibility and Documentation
Collect success stories, case studies, beneficiary testimonials, and photos from project activities.
Support project visibility and communication initiatives in accordance with donor and CEFA guidelines.
Contribute to documenting lessons learned and good practices.
