Export Manager

Reporting into senior management, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day export function while managing a team of 4 Export Controllers. You will ensure operational excellence, maintain high service levels and drive efficiencies across the department.

The business has a strong presence within the perishables, wine, fruit and general cargo sectors, making this an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced export environment.

Duties:

• Lead, mentor and develop a team of 4 Export Controllers.
• Oversee the full export process, ensuring shipments are executed efficiently and compliantly.
• Drive operational performance, service excellence and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Monitor team productivity and provide support where required.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, shipping lines and service providers.
• Ensure all export documentation and regulatory requirements are met.
• Identify opportunities to improve processes and enhance customer satisfaction.

• Previous management experience within freight forwarding exports (non-negotiable).
• Strong knowledge of export operations across all modes of transport, with exposure to perishables highly advantageous.
• Experience handling wine, fruit, perishables and general cargo shipments will be beneficial.
