Driver Messenger

The Driver Messenger is responsible for the safe and efficient transportation and delivery of documents, parcels, equipment, and/or passengers for the company. The role requires punctuality, professionalism, compliance with road safety regulations, and proper maintenance of the assigned vehicle.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Transportation and Deliveries

• Deliver and collect documents, parcels, and materials from clients, suppliers, banks, and other institutions.

• Transport company staff and visitors when required.

• Ensure timely deliveries and adherence to assigned schedules. 

Vehicle Management

• Carry out daily checks on the condition of the vehicle.

• Maintain cleanliness of the vehicle at all times.

• Report irregularities. 

Compliance and Safety

• Adhere to all road traffic laws and company policies.

• Ensure the safety of passengers and transported goods.

• Report accidents, damages, or traffic offences immediately. 

Administrative Support

• Obtain signatures on delivery notes and acknowledgements.

• Maintain accurate trip and delivery records.

• Provide basic administrative assistance when requested.

Job Requirements :

Education

·        Secondary school certificate or equivalent.

Experience

·        Previous experience as a driver or messenger. 

Technical Skills

·        Good driving skills and knowledge of road safety regulations.

·        Familiarity with local routes and locations.

·        Basic ability to use a smartphone or GPS.
