The Desktop Support role provides operational support to the IT Infrastructure Team at CIM Finance by assisting with the maintenance of servers, desktop environments, and network infrastructure. The role contributes to the continuity of business operations by supporting system end‑of‑day and end‑of‑month processes. The Desktop Support is also responsible for delivering a high standard of customer service when diagnosing and resolving IT‑related issues.
Responsibility
Support daily end‑of‑day system procedures.
Assist with end‑of‑month system procedures.
Provide first‑level troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues where possible.
Carry out remote and on‑site technical support interventions as required.
Assist with the movement, setup, and installation of IT equipment.
Install and configure software in accordance with company standards.
Perform basic network cabling tasks when required.
Perform routine system and data backups to ensure data integrity and availability.
Assist with basic network administration tasks.
Act on IT tickets and accurately update resolution actions and progress.
Adhere to agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
Perform any other related duties as required within the Business Unit.
Profile
SC/HSC
CCNA is an added advantage.
6-12 months similar experience.
Knowledge of PC hardware and software troubleshooting and repair.
Basic knowledge of networking concepts and practices.
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Valid driver’s license.
