DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership in academic planning, development and implementation of university policies.
- Promote excellence in teaching, learning, research, innovation and community engagement.
- Coordinate quality assurance and compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Oversee student affairs, welfare and support services.
- Strengthen partnerships with industry, government, development partners and academic institutions.
- Support resource mobilization and institutional growth initiatives.
- Enhance digital transformation and innovation within the University.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Vice-Chancellor and the University Council.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
- An earned PhD from a recognized university.
- At least ten 10 years of progressive academic and administrative experience in higher education, with at least five 5 years at a senior management level.
- A distinguished record in teaching, research, publications and postgraduate supervision.
- Demonstrated leadership in academic administration, strategic planning and institutional development.
- Evidence of successful resource mobilization, partnership development and stakeholder engagement.
- Strong knowledge of higher education policies, governance and quality assurance frameworks.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal and leadership skills.
